The Australian Digital Health Agency is providing a webinar for PHNs, clinical peak organisations and other teams involved in supporting healthcare providers in the transition from NASH SHA-1 to SHA-2 certificates.
Australia’s digital health system is rapidly growing and evolving and, as part of that evolution, the Australian Digital Health Agency is working closely with Services Australia, software developers, and healthcare organisations to implement enhancements to the National Authentication Service for Health (NASH). These enhancements will provide enhanced security protection for healthcare information and reduce the need for healthcare organisations to manage multiple certificates.
To provide stronger protection NASH SHA-1 certificates are being replaced by NASH SHA-2 certificates and connections to digital health services must transition to NASH SHA-2 certificates.
As we are actively working towards the progressive release of NASH SHA-2 certificates in September 2021, the Agency is hosting a webinar for stakeholders responsible for supporting healthcare providers.
The key purpose is to inform you about progress in relation to the transition to NASH SHA-2 and present the new Health Professional Online Services (HPOS) certificate renewal workflow to support issuing NASH SHA-2 certificates.
This is targeted at PHNs, clinical peak organisations, and various people within your organisation responsible for customer support and communications. Please forward this email to anyone in your organisation who you think might benefit from this webinar.
During the webinar, we will be discussing the transition from NASH SHA-1 to SHA-2 certificates, timelines and changes to HPOS for renewing certificates. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions.
