Namespace Portal

This namespace is the XML namespace that defines the eSignature element, which can be used in a CDA Package. This element specifies what is signed, when it was signed and who approved the signing.

An instance of a CDA Package can contain zero or more eSignature parts (see chapter 4 of "CDA Package 1.0"). That eSignature part contains an XML document that is the Signed Container (as defined by the Standards Australia ATS 5821-2010 E-Health XML Secured Payload Profiles). The payload of that Signed Container is this eSignature element.
