The Agency has released updates for the following products:

  • Clinical Documents Integration Toolkit v1.8
  • Health Record Overview v1.2

Please refer to the sections below for the changes included in these updates.


Clinical Documents Integration Toolkit v1.8

Version 1.8 of the Clinical Documents Integration Toolkit has been released by the Australian Digital Health Agency.

Scope

This version provides the following key improvements:

  • Pharmacist Shared Medicines List document type now supported (v1.1 and v2.0)
  • Goals of Care document type now supported (v1.0)
  • Rendering improvements for Discharge Summary documents
  • Java variant for Clinical Document Library

The following sample code products have been updated:

  • Australian Digital Health Agency CDA Schema Extension 3.0
  • Generic Clinical Document Style Sheet
  • Clinical Document Library
  • Clinical Document Data Extractor
  • Clinical Document Packaging Library

Developers using any of these products should consider upgrading to these new versions, as they resolve several potential compatibility and performance issues.

Who does this affect?

  • Developers of software applications integrating with the My Health Record system, the Healthcare Identifiers Service, secure message delivery systems, or other clinical information systems that generate or display CDA™ documents.

Health Record Overview v1.2

The specifications for Health Record Overview v1.2 have been released by the Australian Digital Health Agency.

Scope

This version of the Health Record Overview introduces support for the new Goals of Care document type and contains other important updates for the Presentation and Data Usage Guide.

These updates include:

  • Clarified conditions for displaying the Advance Care Information Indicator
  • Improved guidance for the Other Links section of Health Record Overviews
