METEOR Address components cluster vs HL7 FHIR Address datatype

The Aged Care Clinical Note is designed for systems that require reporting using AIHW Meteor codes, while the exchange medium, FHIR utilises HL7/NCTS codes. This implementation guide acknowledges AIHW Meteor codes as valid and important codes; hence the following mapping tables are provided between METEOR Address components cluster 776938 and HL7 FHIR Address datatype.

The METEOR address data elements are mapped to the equivalent data elements in the HL7 Address datatype. Where there is no equivalent data element, the more specific METEOR address components are mapped to HL7 Address line, rather than to the specific HL7 ISO-21090 address extensions. Significant work will need to be undertaken to map the AS 4846-2014 based METEOR specific address components to the ISO-21090 HL7 specific extensions and there will be some METEOR specific metadata items where there is no map at all to the ISO-21090 HL7 extensions.
