This document is the eighth section of the Users’ Guide for LOINC. LOINC is an international standard for identifying health measurements, observations and documents such as laboratory and clinical test results.

Section 8 lays out how the LOINC model for naming collections (e.g. panels) is being refined for better consistency and ease of use, and to avoid increasing numbers of names.
