Following extensive engagement from communities listed below is a “Summary of feedback” which outlines consultation feedback.

This feedback will enable us to address the implementation challenges and feasibility for software developers that have been identified through this consultative process.

The Agency has formally responded to all stakeholders that provided feedback.

The Agency released the Security Requirements for My Health Record Connecting Systems Conformance Profile draft v1.1 in September 2023 and invited stakeholder feedback during a review period that extended into early November. In response to feedback received, the Agency is refining its approach to the delivery and implementation of the profile. The Agency has developed informational material for stakeholders that summarises the key themes that emerged during the review period and outlines how the Agency is responding to the feedback that was received.

The Agency recognises that certain conformance requirements outlined in the Security Requirements for My Health Record Connecting Systems Conformance Profile draft v1.1 establish shared responsibility for implementation between software developers and healthcare provider organisations (HPO).

The Agency has produced a responsibility assignment matrix to accompany the conformance profile as supporting material, to assist software developers and implementers to achieve conformance.

Next steps

The Agency anticipates releasing a further draft iteration of the profile and accompanying support material, aligned to the revised approach, in Quarter 3 2024. All stakeholders will have an opportunity to review the forthcoming draft and provide any final feedback at that time.
