This document is an alphabetical list of the abbreviations and acronyms used across LOINC (Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes), a common language for identifying health measurements, observations and documents.
The list is a work in progress. Currently, it primarily contains abbreviations and acronyms that are used in LOINC Parts (excluding Components).
The list does not include combinations of abbreviations and acronyms that are separated by a delimiter (e.g. Ser/Plas, Ser+CSF), as there are many such combinations.
Main sections:
· Background information
· Contact information for cases in which an abbreviation or acronym is not on the list
· Alphabetical list of abbreviations and acronyms
