Data structures 024 and 025: Patient Date of Birth and Patient Identification Number, Location Code v2018

This document is a reference table containing the location codes for use in Patient Date of Birth (ISBT 128 Data Structure 024) and Patient Identification Number (ISBT 128 Data Structure 025). ISBT 128 data structures are formal definitions of how information is to be identified and electronically presented in the transfusion and transplantation information environment. ISBT 128 data structures use a location code which allows the reading system to identify the item from which a code was read (for example, from a wrist band, test tube or clinical notes).
