Conformance Statements are critical to interoperability. They help implementers and system integrators determine whether or not applications do interoperate. Information in a conformance statement can also be used to resolve problems.
This standard specifies:
- minimum general conformance requirements that must be met by any implementation claiming conformance to the DICOM Standard

- how conformance information can be placed into a Conformance Statement.
