This document is the Australian Standard for e-health secure message delivery. It defines a mechanism for clinical messaging between software systems at separate organisations over the internet using industry-standard web services protocols. It defines a set of roles in the secure message delivery process and the associated standard interfaces and behaviour required to ensure interconnectivity, privacy and assurance of delivery.
