The GS1 Conformant Resolver standard describes how resolvers should accept GS1 Digital Link URIs and return or redirect to relevant linked resources using HTTP. It supports decompression, validation, link metadata (like titles, relation types, media types), and fallback logic to ensure interoperability across distributed web systems.

By adhering to this standard, each GS1 identifier (e.g. GTIN, GLN) can serve as a bridge between physical entities and associated digital data or services - enabling scalable, linked supply chain, product, and health information systems.
