This standard is GS1’s framework for the design and implementation of interoperable traceability systems across end-to-end supply chains. The model used is suitable for capturing and sharing data across known and trusted chains of custody. This document assumes each organisation in a supply chain has its own objectives and tools, and so it focuses on interoperability through the data management aspects of traceability. It is sector, product and technology neutral.
