Several companies in the pulp and paper industry have started using radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags to identify pulp products. RFID can be used to improve processes by automating unique identification of pulp units and enabling full visibility of the movements of products in supply chains. Many of the benefits from the use of RFID tags require cooperation between different actors in the industry. This guideline focuses on the main implementation requirements to enable use of RFID tags in the pulp and paper industry and cooperation between parties in the industry.
