Health informatics — Patient healthcard data – Part 3: Limited clinical data

This standard describes and defines the Limited Clinical Data objects used within, or referenced by, patient-held health data cards using UML, plain text and Abstract Syntax Notation (ASN.1). The data contained within the data objects in limited clinical data are intended to support the delivery of emergency care – they are not intended, or fit for purpose, to provide full information for the delivery of emergency care.

This standard is part 3 of 8 in the ISO 21549 series of International Standards which provides data structures and definitions for data objects on patient data cards. It applies to situations in which limited clinical data are recorded on, or transported by, patient healthcards that are compliant with the physical dimensions of ID-1 cards defined by ISO/IEC 7810.
