This standard focuses on the operation of temporary isolation and quarantine facilities. It describes the requirements, operational principles, and procedures of the temporary medical facility (TMF) in relation to planning, staffing and patient management, along with the discharge and termination of isolation for patients with infectious diseases in the context of ongoing widespread community transmission. A TMF may be operated separately or as a combination facility. Some may also be used to treat mild cases with serious cases transferred to hospitals.
