IHE Cardiology Technical Framework Supplement – Cath Report Content (CRC)

This supplementary resource aims to enable collection and distribution of the most clinically relevant data on cardiac catheterisation (cath) procedures common in cardiology. This will enable individual diagnostic and interventional cath procedure-related information to be more easily shared between caregivers and systems, population-based research on procedure effectiveness, and harmonised data collection for procedural reports with data registries for data exchange. The resource codifies representative areas of procedure indications, procedures, medications, observations, complications and findings for cardiac cath diagnostic and interventional procedures and specifies how these data can be organised to be used by both care providers and automated data processing systems.
