This profile describes a subscription and notification mechanism for use within an XDS (Cross-Enterprise Document Sharing) Affinity Domain and across communities. The subscription allows for metadata to be matched during the publication of a new document for a given patient, and results in a notification being delivered.
This supplement extends the notification infrastructure defined in the DSUB (Document Metadata Subscription) Profile and adds functionalities for:
- subscription to Folders objects and Folders updates
- patient independent subscriptions for DocumentEntry and SubmissionSet objects
- a pull-style notification approach.
