The Healthcare Provider Directory (HPD) Profile supports queries against, and management of, healthcare provider information that may be publicly shared in a directory structure. Healthcare providers include individual providers and organisational providers. A healthcare provider directory would usually include demographics, address, credential and specialty information, an electronic endpoint to facilitate trusted communications, and relationships between providers.
This profile describes 2 transactions (Provider Information Feed and Provider Information Query) and 3 actors (Provider Information Directory, Provider Information Consumer, and Provider Information Source).
