This is a supplement to the IHE Patient Care Coordination Technical Framework V6.0. It defines the Perinatal Workflow (PW) profile which simplifies communication and information sharing between ambulatory providers, laboratories, imaging facilities, and labour and delivery centres. It uses profiles and transactions from other IHE domains to support the ongoing care of expectant mothers and newborns.
