This is a supplement to the IHE Patient Care Coordination Technical Framework V11.0. It defines the Point-of-Care Medical Device Tracking (PMDT) profile, which supports reporting data about implantable medical devices (such as pacemakers) and data from medical devices (such as blood glucose monitors) during a procedure. This this profile adds new capabilities to point-of-care systems to enhance patient safety and effectiveness.
