This document describes the Aggregate Data Exchange (ADX) Profile, which supports interoperable public health reporting of aggregate health data. This reporting typically takes the form of routine reports from a health facility to an administrative jurisdiction such as a health district. Additional use cases include international reporting and community health worker reporting.
The motivation for the development of this profile was the diverse and often ad hoc nature of health system management in developing countries, but its potential use is not restricted to these environments.
Main sections:
· ADX actors, transactions and content modules
· Actor options and required actor groupings
· Overview
· Use case #1: Community health workers filing routine reports
· Use case #2: Reporting health worker data
· Use case #3: Routine reporting from electronic medical records
· Use case #4: Reporting data from HMIS to other aggregate data repositories
· Security considerations
· Cross profile considerations
· Transactions
· Content modules
· Data Structure Definition (DSD)
· National extensions
