This document describes the Invoke Image Display (IID) Profile, which allows for the integration of non-image-aware systems such as electronic health records (EHRs), electronic medical records (EMRs), personal health records (PHRs) and radiology information systems (RISs) with image-aware systems such as image displays.
Though this integration, the IID Profile provides a standard mechanism for requesting the display of interactive images.
