Centralised (regional, national, or federated) multi-enterprise long-term archives for diagnostic imaging are increasingly being created and deployed. The use of these archives complicates how some existing actors and transactions are currently defined.
This document adds an option to the Scheduled Workflow (SWF) and Patient Information Reconciliation (PIR) Profiles. This new Multiple Image Manager/Archive (MIMA) option facilitates Image Manager/Archive transactions and allows an Image Manager or Archive to support multiple patient identifier assigning authorities.
