This supplement introduces a Radiology Remote Reading Workflow (RRR-WF) profile. The profile is intended to address a variety of use cases involving imaging studies that are distributed to other locations for interpretation of the study, and for development of diagnostic reports.
The profile specifies transactions for workflow management that are based on the RESTful worklist service defined by DICOM UPS-RS. The profile also specifies (as Named Options) transactions for accessing the inputs to the reading task, and storing the outputs from the reading task. The Named Options allow the use of XDS-I, RESTful DICOM, or Conventional DIMSE DICOM.
