This document provides usable barcodes (both valid and invalid) to help users evaluate the capabilities of their ISBT 128 barcode_reading software.
It is recommended to use both valid and invalid barcodes to validate the user's system when implementing ISBT 128. Users should be aware of the limitations of their system and have viable workaround procedures for the specific types of barcodes that are not supported by their system.
This guidance should be used in conjunction with the latest version of the ISBT 128 Standard Technical Specification (ST-001), and the audience should already be familiar with the specifications of the standard and have a comprehensive understanding of ISBT 128 data structures.
