This guideline describes the Mobile access to Health Documents (MHD) Profile, which defines a standardised application programming interface (API) for health document sharing for use by mobile devices. Mobile devices covered include tablets, smart phones and home-health devices. MHD is intended to make deployment of mobile applications more consistent and reusable. MHD applies to mobile devices that are resource-constrained, have a simple programming environment, simple protocol stack and simple display functionality.
