RCPA Pathology Terminology & Information Models - SPIA release (30 September 2024)

This package delivers terminology sets and information models used in Australian pathology, developed and maintained by RCPA under the SPIA framework. The 30 September 2024 release includes updates to the Requesting Pathology Terminology Reference Set and other core terminology sets mapped to SNOMED CT. These resources support standardised electronic communication of pathology requests, reports, and data exchange in clinical systems. The release is part of the National Pathology Terminology and Information Standardisation Plan, aiming to enhance interoperability and semantic clarity across health systems in Australia.
