SNOMED CT Medicinal Product Model Specification v4.0

SNOMED CT is a standard for data elements used in the electronic exchange of clinical information. This document specifies the concept model for representation of pharmaceutical and biological products in the international edition of SNOMED CT. The document also describes how aspects of the SNOMED medicinal product hierarchy correspond with the Identification of Medicinal Products ISO standards. This document serves as a specification. The development and implementation of the model will be directed by separate guidance.
