Supplement 237: General 32-bit ECG

This supplement defines a new ECG Waveform service-object pair (SOP) class to the DICOM Standard. It is based on the existing General ECG SOP class but with fewer constraints. The new General 32-bit ECG SOP class allows for 32 bits per sample. This is an increase from the previous General ECG SOP class which can store waveform with 16 bits per sample.

Using 32-bit-data allows the new ECG waveform SOP class to be used with routine scalp EEGs and sleep studies, which commonly produce 32-bit data.
