Supplement 241: Structural Heart Procedural SR Template

This supplement introduces SR templates for Structural Heart Procedures to the DICOM Standard. These procedures involve interventions to address various conditions or abnormalities affecting the structures of the heart (excluding the coronary arteries). Unlike open-heart surgery, these interventions are minimally invasive or use a catheter-based approach.

As echocardiography (ECG) is the primary imaging modality used in periprocedural imaging, the templates proposed in this supplement are based the Simplified Adult Echocardiography Templates (root TID 5300). They are modified to support multimodality image acquisition.
