This reference set supports the identification of the Australian Medicines Terminology (AMT) Trade Product Unit of Use (TPUU), Containered Trade Product Pack (CTPP), Medicinal Product Pack (MPP) and Medicinal Product Unit of Use (MPUU) concepts that have additional storage and handling requirements in public hospitals within Western Australia Health(WA Health), as per WA Health policies.
This reference set can be used by applications to identify Schedule 4 medicines which have additional storage and handling requirements within WA public hospitals, as per WA Health policies. The reference set includes medicines registered on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods, which contain any of the active ingredients: codeine, propofol, tramadol, zolpidem, zopiclone, and certain benzodiazepines (bromazepam, clobazam, clonazepam, diazepam, lorazepam, midazolam, nitrazepam, oxazepam and temazepam).
This reference set is not the same as a Schedule 4 Reportable medicines (as defined in Section 77 of the Medicines and Poisons Act 2014) reference set and does not have any use related to real-time prescription monitoring (RTPM) programs.
