CDS Hooks is an HL7 published specification for clinical decision support. It describes a ‘hook’-based pattern for invoking decision support from within a clinician's workflow. User activity inside the clinician's workflow triggers CDS hooks in real-time.
The CDS Hooks Release 2.0 specification describes the RESTful APIs and interactions using JSON over HTTPS to integrate clinical decision support (CDS) between CDS clients (typically electronic health record systems (EHRs) or other health information systems) and CDS services.
Main sections:

· CDS Hooks anatomy

· Providing FHIR resources to a CDS service
· CDS service response
· Feedback
· Security and safety
· Extensions
