The Vital Records Domain Analysis Model states the foundational requirements for the design and development of health information exchange standards in Health Level Seven (HL7) that relate to vital records information flows (for example, reporting of fetal deaths, deaths or live births). The model facilitates consistency in the content and encoding of required vital records data. It also helps to ensure that HL7 standards that relate to vital records are derived from a common authoritative set of workflow and information requirements.
