The EHR Clinical Research Functional Profile (EHRCR functional profile) provides high-level requirements necessary for using data from electronic health record (EHR) systems for regulated clinical research. The profile identifies critical capabilities for the conduct of this regulated clinical research. It also provides a roadmap for a process of integrating the environments that provide patient care and data for clinical research.
