This document is the HL7 Cross-Paradigm Interoperability Implementation Guide for Immunizations. It uses an approach based on the Services-Aware Interoperability Framework (SAIF) to achieve interoperability between messaging, documentation and services managed and exchanged between differing systems. This guide recognises that there are multiple, often incompatible, standards and that it is therefore necessary to provide tools and methods to create interoperability across them.
This document provides specific implementation guidance for the immunisations domain and establishes methods for developing guides for other domains.
