GELLO provides a framework for building expressions to extract and manipulate clinical data from medical records and to construct decision support criteria that can be used in decision-support knowledge bases (such as those that provide alerts and reminders, guidelines or other decision rules).
This document describes the GELLO query and expression language and its use in clinical decision support in health care. It includes use cases and decision support models.
