HL7 Version 3 Standard: Patient Administration, Person Registry, Release 1

This standard defines messages exchanged with person registries. The person information model defines common identifying and demographic data elements that might be collected for a person, regardless of the role they play. The model excludes attributes that would likely be collected only for a person in the role of patient.
