HL7 Version 3 Standard: Shared Messages

HL7 Version 3 Shared Messages are a work product produced for expressing common, useful and reusable message types. A Shared Message is a message type that is reusable in interactions in any of the domains within the HL7 standard. This standard enables the consistent communication of common message types, provides a consistent set of reference artefacts and reference models for these message types, and provides for the availability of common content in a common library.
