The Emergency Data eXchange Language (EDXL) project facilitates emergency information sharing and data exchange across the local, state, tribal, national, international and nongovernmental organisations of different professions that provide emergency response and management services.
EDXL-HAVE specifies an XML document format that allows for communication about the status, services and resources of a hospital. This information includes bed capacity and availability, emergency department status, available service coverage and the status of a facility and its operations.
