HIPS v7.3 is a minor release that provides the following important functionality improvements:

  • Goals of Care document type introduced for upload and display 
  • Advance Care Planning document type now also supported for upload 
  • User interface enhancements: 
    • Improved Advance Care Information indicator on Patient Summary screen, covering:
      • Goals of Care documents
      • Advance Care Planning documents
      • Advance Care Directive Custodian Record documents
    • New Advance Care Information screen focussed on:
      • Goals of Care documents
      • Advance Care Planning documents
      • Advance Care Directive Custodian Record documents
  • Enhancements for HL7 ADT and ORU messages:
    • Enhanced validation of HL7 message fields
    • Improved processing of edge cases
    • Alignment to HL7 standard for representation and interpretation of null values
