Services Australia Advice: Limiting API calls in vendor environment
As the vast majority of software developers are now developing and testing their web services products in the vendor environment, there is a risk that some system limitations may be reached and could therefore cause an unplanned outage of the vendor environment. Unplanned outages in the vendor environment delays our testing of your products, and delays your own development and testing. It is in everyone’s best interests to mitigate this risk by limiting the number of calls to the vendor environment.
We are therefore requesting that all developers limit the number of calls to the vendor environment to a maximum of 100 calls per hour, per software developer company. This will help ensure the stability of the vendor environment and help us to progress testing of your products as quickly as possible.

Services Australia advice: Service Australia’s future use of PKI Certificates
Services Australia acknowledges that some healthcare organisations require significant testing to ensure daily operations are not adversely impacted in the transition from PKI to PRODA.
For this reason, we are renewing the SHA-1 OCA Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificate and Medicare PKI certificates to make sure there is ongoing business continuity. National Authentication Services for Health (NASH) PKI certificates will also be available for renewal. You won’t be able to use your Medicare PKI Certificates to access our digital health and aged care channels after 13 March 2022, but other functions will still be available. You must continue your development of web services and ensure your software products are deployed to your customers by 13 March 2022.
Services Australia will commence the OCA renewal towards the end of April 2021 and be complete by mid May 2021.

Compliance and Accreditation (CCA) testing is transitioning from IV&V Australia to ADHA
Services Australia would like to advise you that the Healthcare Identifier (HI) Conformance Compliance and Accreditation (CCA) testing will be transitioned from IV&V Australia to ADHA from 1st of November 2020 with no charge to software developers.
Access to the HI Service will continue to require both Notice of Connection (NOC) testing with Services Australia and HI CCA assessment with ADHA. Upon gaining access to the HI Service, software developers can progress to implement various digital health functionalities such as My Health Record, E-prescribing and secure messaging.

The Australian Government Department of Human Services (the department) would like to advise that an issue impacted some organisations use of the Healthcare Identifiers (HI) Service VENDOR environment on Tuesday 10 December between 8:30 am until 12:41 pm (AEDT).
