Configuration changes required for My Health Record Software Vendor Test environment
On 25 May, the Australian Digital Health Agency changed the endpoints to the My Health Record Software Vendor Test (SVT) environment and the My Health Record public SSL certificate.
These changes were required because the Agency moved the endpoints for SVT from the previous Global Switch data centre to an Agency-managed secure hosting service, which is Certified Strategic under the Australian Government’s Hosting Certification Framework.
Software endpoints must now be updated so that you can continue to use the SVT environment. The current endpoints are no longer accessible.
My Health Record - Data Centre Rehosting - SVT Certificates V1.1 removes the Apache Server instructions and text files related to language translation.

ACTION IS REQUIRED: My Health Record B2B and Mobile Gateway SSL Certificate Renewal & Release 11.2 - SVT Environment
The My Health Record System Operator advises there will be a planned upgrade to the My Health Record system Software Vendor Test (SVT) environment after 5:00 PM (AEDT) on Friday 5 February 2021 (rescheduled from Tuesday 2 February). At this time, there will be a My Health Record B2B and Mobile Gateway SSL Certificate update to the SVT My Health Record system certificates below:
- b2b.ehealthvendortest.health.gov.au
- apinams.ehealthvendortest.health.gov.au
- api.ehealthvendortest.health.gov.au
As part of the renewal of these certificates, the Intermediate CA is also changing from ‘DigiCert SHA2 Secure Server CA’ to ‘DigiCert TLS RSA SHA256 2020 CA1’. Please note that there will be a short outage while the certificates are being replaced and therefore the upgrade is outside of the advertised available hours for the SVT environment.
ACTION IS REQUIRED before Monday 1 February 2021 by vendors of software that connect to the My Health Record SVT environment to ensure communication with the My Health Record System B2B and Mobility gateway will not be affected by the change. To assess if your software product could be impacted by the renewal of the My Health Record B2B or Mobile Gateway SSL certificate, you should clarify the following:
- Is your product explicitly configured to trust the My Health Record B2B or Mobile Gateway SSL certificates issued above?
- Is DigiCert TLS RSA SHA256 2020 CA1 absent from your trust store?
If you answered ‘YES’, you will be required to trust the renewed certificates and/or to install the new DigiCert Intermediate CA (DigiCert TLS RSA SHA256 2020 CA1) on your application server in the Trusted CA store before Monday 1 February 2021. It is recommended to trust both the current and new Digicert Intermediate CA. Please contact us for the renewed certificates or for additional details.
Please note that SSL Certificates will also be renewed in the My Health Record Production Environment. Details regarding the Production certificates will be distributed separately.
Technical Notice of My Health Record Gateway Certificate Renewal
The SVT My Health Record systems will be renewing their Secured Socket Layer (SSL) certificate. If any software vendor has chosen to implement explicit trust against an instance of the My Health Record B2B or Mobility Gateway SSL certificate, there is a risk that the SSL certificate validation flow may fail under the following situations:
- The software explicitly trusts a particular instance of the My Health Record SSL certificate; or
- My Health Record B2B or Mobility Gateway SSL certificate has been renewed but the vendor trust store has not been updated.
Which certificates are being renewed?
In addition to the certificate refresh, there will be a planned upgrade to the My Health Record system Software Vendor Test (SVT) environment after 5:00 PM (AEDT) on Tuesday 9 February 2021 (rescheduled from Tuesday 2 February).
